Nana Konadu Yiadom III Dɔte Yie: All Accreditations Will Be Ready On Saturday- Manhyia Royal Ambassador

The Royal Ambassador of the Manhyia Palace, Oheneba Yaw Okyere, has assured members of the media and all other stakeholders that their accreditation cards will be ready for collection on Saturday.

These accreditation cards will offer the stakeholders the convenience to discharge their due mandates during the four-day burial rites of the late Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.

This announcement was made during a press conference by the Planning Committee of the burial rites on Friday, September 12, 2025.

All applicants were directed to visit the Secretariat of the Manhyia Palace on Saturday morning.

“From 10 am to 12 noon, all accreditations will be ready for collection at the secretariat,” he said.

Media Guidelines
The Manhyia Palace has issued guidelines to aid media personnel in properly navigating the coverage.

The traditional event will take place from September 15 to 18.

Below are the guidelines:
1. EACH TV station would be allowed two cameras. One All Access Pass and A Media Pass.

2. ONLY cameramen with All Access accreditation with their pictures would be allowed access to the dais.

3. ONLY one reporter from a radio station would be granted access to the inner lane.

4. THE two cameramen and the reporter would be identified by their pictures on their accreditation.

5. SELECTED bloggers would be accredited and given access to the inner perimeter, and they should equally have their passport-sized photograph on their accreditation.

6. NO drones should fly in and around Nanahemaa’s Palace. Any drone that violates this would be shot down.

7. ONLY accredited drones with stickers would be allowed to fly.

8. NO media or video/recording devices will be allowed into the area where Nanahemaa will be laid in state.

9. THE media should be circumspect with the visuals they send out. Any inappropriate footage would not be accepted.

11. CAMERA MEN should dress properly for the occasion before they are allowed access to the dais.

12. TV stations with OB vans would be given a Car Pass

13. ONLY camera operators with ‘All Access’ accreditation bearing their passport-sized photograph will be allowed near the dais and the Asantehene’s platform

14. ⁠DESIGNATED area for all media interviews

15. COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHERS should also write for accreditation

16. DESIGNATED area for photographs

17. ALL print media would be accredited.
