Ghana Faces Algeria In WAFCON Knockout Stage

Ghana has been set up against Algeria in the Round of 16 of the ongoing 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The game will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Municipal Stadium in Berkane.

The Back Queens booked a spot in the quarterfinals after securing a decisive 4-1 win over Tanzania in their final group match.

It is the first time the team has advanced from the Group stage in WAFCON since 2016.

The Queens finished second in Group C following a 2-0 loss to defending champions South Africa and a 1-1 draw against Mali in the first two games.
