Akesse Brempong Hails ICGC, Keeper’s House, Others For Record Labels

Ghanaian gospel musician Phil Evans Akesse-Brempong, popular as Akesse Brempong, has commended some churches in the country for waking up to calls to get active in the booming music industry.

Akese Brempong who has been one of those advocates since 2018 said he was elated by the development as he anticipates a boom in Ghana’s gospel industry.

“Ghana’s gospel music industry is on the verge of soaring! We are about to witness a phenomenal turn of events within our space.”

His call to the churches, he said, was because the church is the biggest consumer of gospel music and the number one producer of gospel musicians, plus it has the capacity to scale up production and promotion of contents.

In a Facebook post, he congratulated the International Central Gospel Church (IGC), Harvest Chapel International, The Maker’s House International and The Keeper’s House Chapel International for setting up record labels.

“Congratulations to the churches on the turf. Let’s play ball.”

He believes this will be a catalyst for the “much-needed growth we’ve longed for.”
