It follows their second group win against Tanzania on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Cape Coast Stadium. The Black Princesses won the game with a 2-1 comeback against their opponents.

His team witnessed early changes as Asana Alhassan replaced Success Ameyaa before recess when Ghana were down by a goal after Tanzania found the back of the net in the 22nd minute.

In added time in the first half, Tracey Twum cancelled out the lead.

As Tanzania pushed to take back their lead in the second half, Ghana persisted which finally paid off for the hosts in the 64th minute as Mukarama Abdulai scored the winner.

The victory powered the Princesses to the next stage of the competition. In their first game against Ethiopia, the team won by a goal to nil. They currently lead Group A with six points.
