Former President Akufo-Addo Graces Independence Day Celebration

Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo graced the 68th Independence Day celebration on March 6, 2025.

The national event held at the Forecourts of the Jubilee House brought together dignitaries from across the country and beyond.

Among them was the immediate past President.

Dressed in a white shirt with strips of the colours of the Ghana flag on the pockets, he took his seat in between former President John Agyekum Kufuor and Former President of Tanzania, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete who was the Guest of Honour.

Some have taken to social media to commend him for his attendance.

One wrote on Facebook, “Kudos to Prez. Nana Akufo Addo for gracing the 68th Independence Anniversary event. We are one people, irrespective of our political preferences.”

Also at the event were government officials, traditional leaders, and many others.
