3 Chiefs Inducted Into Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs

Three new members have officially joined the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs.

They were inducted during the last meeting of the year of the House on November 15, presided over by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The three are Nsutahene Nana Asamoah Gyamfi Sekyere II, Offinsohene Nana Dwamena Akenteng II and Mamfehene Nana Kwaku Kwam II.

Their induction was officiated by High Court Judge, Her Ladyship Justice Hannah Taylor.

The three traditional authorities took oath of membership, oath of secrecy and the judicial oath to officialise their membership of the House.

In a speech, the King of the Asante Kingdom charged them to commit themselves to the task and honour the oath they have sworn.

“You vowed to abide by the law and I look forward to that. Dedicate yourself to any committee you get assigned to and let whatever you do be in favour of the House. The year has almost ended but we will have a lot of activities in the next year. I hope you will work wholeheartedly.”

Otumfuo also expressed appreciation to the High Court Judge for her service.
