Kotoko to Face Kaizer Chiefs in Toyota Cup

Asante Kotoko SC is booked for an international friendly against South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs later in July.

The two powerhouses will be contending for this year’s Toyota Cup at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban, South Africa.

“Asante Kotoko SC is pleased to confirm that we have accepted an invitation to play in this year’s Toyota Cup, where we will face Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa in an international friendly” Kotoko said in a press statement.

The game will take place on July 28, 2025.

The statement further said the game was crucial to strengthening the long‑standing relationship between the two clubs.

It also forms part of our preparations for the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup against a team that will also be participating in the same competition.

“It will give our team valuable international experience as we build towards a strong campaign in Africa.”

The official launch of the Toyota Cup took place today at 10h00 in the Kaizer Chiefs Village.
