18 Million Vaccinated Against COVID In Ghana

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) says a total of 18, 396,070 of Ghana’s population have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 pandemic as of July 20.

Speaking at a presser, the Director-General of the GHS, Dr Patrick Kuma Aboagye said uptake of COVID-19 vaccines has increased.

As of the end of May and June 2022, 15.4 million and 17.4 million people had been respectively vaccinated.

COVID Cases
Ghana’s active case count stands at 336 with one serious condition and a zero critical case.

The Director-General of the GHS said the cases of COVID-19 in Ghana are seeing a downward trend compared to neighbouring countries.

Dr Aboagye noted that 12 cases were recorded from June 1, 2022, to date with Greater Accra region still leading as the hotspot.

Western North, North East, Savannah, and Upper West are however without active cases.
