Attention has been drawn to an ongoing project at Ashaley Botwe school junction in the Adentan Municipality in the country’s capital, Accra.
This is currently a 6 storey building with a clear indication that it will not end there and that the contractor intends to continue.
This has created a huge uproar on social media with a lot of Ghanaians calling on the appropriate authorities to take immediate action.
This building has attracted a lot of attention on social media and people situated around the locality are said to be living in fear. Some people are beginning to fear for their lives looking at it as a death trap hence, talking about safety and structural integrity while others think there is absolutely nothing wrong with the building and that is one of a kind.
“Saw this Babel looking structure yesterday on the school junction road and wondered if I’m the only one with Heblews concerns or I should go to Jalamia…..? lol. But on a serious note, it looks like something with a distorted structural integrity “ Yaw Pare wrote.
@ kwame Gyan added by saying “ we are waiting till it collapses and kill people then we start to cry and blame someone.”
In a related development, Mr. Kwabena Kokofu, Executive Director of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) speaking on a radio today said he visited the site of the construction and has directed that they immediately stop work for the appropriate agencies to take proper structural audit of the said building.
