Weija-Gbawe MP Debunks Death Rumours

The Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has refuted allegations suggesting he has passed away.
In an interview, he urged the public to disregard the false speculations and treat them with the needed contempt.
“I think you just need to ignore the rumours and know that by God’s grace, I’m alive.”
According to him, the rumours started after he granted an interview to defend New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist, Mohammed Zakou’s “Rest In Peace” post about Vice President Prof Naana Opoku Agyemang.
“I don’t understand where the rumours are coming from but somebody mentioned to me that it was as a result of a certain interview I had granted. In that interview, let me place emphasis on the fact that I never supported anybody who said out there that rest well means you are just resting.”
He furthered, “I said that was the interpretation the guy placed on it in his statement and that should be it. Why should anybody wish anybody dead? Let’s stop the mischief and enjoy our Ghana peacefully.”
