Opemsuo Radio’s Adwoa Serwaa Danso Called to the Bar

Adwoa Serwaa Danso, the Online News Editor at Opemsuo Radio, has officially been called to the Bar by the General Legal Council.

She was enrolled alongside 1,568 new lawyers in Accra on Friday, October 9, 2026.

An alumna of the University of Ghana, Legon, Ms Danso holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Linguistics, a Master of Arts in Communication Studies, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB).

She completed her professional legal education at the Ghana School of Law, Kumasi Campus.

Ms Danso expressed profound joy following years of academic dedication.

“Call me Lawyer Adwoa Serwaa Danso,” she demanded. “The stress over these five years in school is something I can hardly describe. Completing my Master’s was hard, but studying law was the hardest. It took countless sleepless nights.”

She explained that while she pursued law as a noble profession, her primary focus remains rooted in digital media and communications.

Ms Danso also extended warm appreciation to the management and staff of Opemsuo Radio for their backing throughout her academic pursuit.

“Opemsuo Radio was amazing. My bosses, Barima Osei and Pastor Prince-Dominic Amoako Asante, as well as the General Manager, Mr Melchizedek Owusu Boachie were very helpful and gave me time off to prepare for my exams. I am forever grateful to them and to all my colleagues in the media department for their continuous encouragement,” she noted.

This year’s cohort also featured several notable public figures, including broadcast journalist Umaru Sanda Amadu, media personality Naa Ashorkor, Minister for Lands and Natural Resources Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, and Minister for Communications Samuel Nartey George.
