{Pictures}Trailer Burnt to Ashes in Highway Fire

A trailer carrying bottled water has been burnt to ashes after it was gutted by fire on the Accra-Kumasi highway.

The fire involving the MAN TGX26 trailer was swiftly managed by the Bunso Fire Station.

“Firefighters arrived at the scene on time, to contain the flames, salvaging 70% of the trailer’s bottled water cargo,” the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) reported in a statement on June 12.

The GNFS reported no injuries or fatalities despite the road gridlock that ensued.

Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
