Man Allegedly Kills and Buries Girlfriend in Septic Tank

The body of a woman has been discovered in a septic tank at the Sunyani Magazine in the Bono Region with her boyfriend identified as the prime suspect.

The body which had began decaying was exhumed with the assistance of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on late Friday evening.

”On Friday, February 28, 2025, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) uncovered a nearly decomposed body of a young woman at Sunyani Magazine,” the Service confirmed in a press statement.

The statement said preliminary investigations suggested she was allegedly dumped into the tank three weeks ago by her boyfriend after the dastardly act.

The suspect has since been arrested, while the body is undergoing autopsy.
