Ghana’s Embassy In Iran Reopens

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the reopening of Ghana’s embassy in Tehran, Iran.
The facility was shut down in June during heightened tension between Iran and Israel to guarantee the safety of the Staff of the Mission.
In a press statement, the Ministry said it would reopen on September 16 following an improvement in the security situation in Iran.
“Notwithstanding this decision, the Ministry will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that the safety of the Staff working in the Embassy and the Ghanaian community in Iran is not compromised.”
The Ministry assured the general public of its commitment to ensure the safety of Ghanaians in Iran and will provide periodic updates as and when the need arises.
