Police Arrest 4, Retrieve ‘Stolen’ Assets
Four suspected robbers have been arrested by police officers of Weija Divisional Police Command for allegedly breaking into a residence at Ajasco Red Top, Kokrobite on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
The suspects made away with three laptops, an iPhone 8 plus, 3 Infinix Smartphones, Techno Cammon 7,
a Bluetooth speaker, an extension board, 3 phone chargers, 2 laptop chargers, and an unspecified amount of money.
Three of the suspects including; Benjamin Otoo, Tony Mensah Yedu, and Bismark Asabree were arrested at their hideouts at Ajasco Red Top and New Aplaku on Saturday, during an 8-hour covert operation of the police, a statement from the police said.
Suspect Nana Yaw Arko was later arrested at Labadi after suspect Bismark Asabree led the police to his hideout.
A search led to the retrieval of some 20 assorted phones, a taxi cab, 3 laptops, 1 motorbike, 1 locally manufactured pistol, a police vest, a Gota, and 14 assorted wristwatches from the suspects.
The suspects will be arraigned before a court today.
