Verify Job Opportunities Before Sharing Personal Details – Cyber Security Authority

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has cautioned job seekers to verify job opportunities before sharing their personal details.

In its Cyber Habit of the Day advisory, the Authority warned that fake job offers are increasingly being used to defraud unsuspecting victims.

“Why it matters: Fake job offers are used to collect personal information and money from victims,” the CSA stated.

The Authority has therefore challenged the public to always research the company offering employment and avoid paying any form of “registration” or “processing” fees as a condition for employment.

The advisory forms part of the CSA’s public awareness campaign to promote cyber hygiene and protect Ghanaians from online fraud and scams.
