Retired Police Officers Association Distances Itself From Suit Challenging Kofi Boakye’s Appointment

The National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO-GH) has distanced itself from a lawsuit challenging the nomination of COP Mr Nathaniel Kofi Boakye (Rtd) as the Representative of the Retired Senior Police Officers Association on the Police Council.
The suit was filed by one Henrietta Nana Yaa Simpson at the Supreme Court.
“NEC AND FEC on behalf of the entire membership of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO-GH) categorically disassociate ourselves from this lawsuit filed by the said Henrietta Nana Yaa Simpson,” the leadership of the Association said in a statement.
It stated that the plaintiff is not a registered or known member of NARPO-GII and has no formal or informal relations with NARPO-GH.
It furthered that neither NEC nor FEC has ever discussed, agreed or authorized anyone to file a lawsuit on its behalf or taken any decision to initiate any lawsuit as provided by Article 5 Clause I of the NARPO-GH Constitution.
Rather, it affirmed its support for COP Mr Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd), saying he possesses the necessary qualifications and expertise to represent all retired Police Officers, irrespective of rank.
