President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, has heaped praises on the Occupant of the Golden Stool, His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, for taking part in the One District One Factory initiative by his government in establishing the Bodukwan multi fruit processing factory.
Bodukwan multi fruit processing factory owned by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was commissioned today at Sabin-Akrofrom to start its operations.
President Akufo-Addo who was excited for the establishment of the multipurpose factory could not hide his joy by thanking Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, for his resolve to establish the company.
“I want to thank Otumfuo for this bold decision to take part In the One District One Factory initiative by personally establishing the Bodukwan Multi Fruit Processing factory under the program,” said the President.
He continued, “Otumfuo, we are grateful for this show of leadership that you have exhibited in establishing this facility. In 2016, I made mentioned of initiating One District One Factory in Ghana during our campaign, but as usual the pessimists doubted its fulfillment.
Today, it is conspicuous for everyone to see and Otumfuo Asantehene himself have taken part.”
“I want to congratulate the cooperation between the Asantehene, Ghana Exim Bank and Ministry of Trade which is made possible for establishing this Ghc45 million Cedis investment project.” Prez Akufo-Addo concluded.
The One District One Factory (1D1F) initiative is the vision of His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to change the nature of Ghana’s economy from one which is dependent on import and export of raw materials to one which is focused on manufacturing, value addition and export of processed goods.
