People Used Propaganda To Unseat Me- Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah

Hon. Randy Collins Owusu Amankwah, former legislator for Manhyia North consistency, has claimed that he lost his seat as the Member of Parliament due to propaganda.

After eight years in parliament, Hon. Amankwah loss his primaries to the current lawmaker, Hon. Akwasi Konadu, but he believes it was calculated to achieve a target because he had spent eight years in parliament.

Speaking on ‘Nkwantannanso’ morning show, Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah, who served on the committee for Defence and Interior as the Vice Chairman insisted that people did not vote for him due to underperformance.

“People used propaganda to vote against me because I had spent eight years in Parliament. Had it been underperformance, there is no way they would have voted against me.”

When quizzed by George Opoku Mensah if he still eyes the seat again, he answered in affirmative that he has taken his eye off the seat.

“No! I am not eying the position again. I’ve moved on long time. But the truth is the work I did in my constituency will always speak for me.”

He further revealed that though he is not at post, he will ensure all uncompleted projects will be completed for the betterment of his constituency.

“I will work for the uncompleted projects under my watch to be completed for the betterment of my constituency though I am no more in office.”

Hon. Collins Owusu Amankwah lost his seat with just five votes to Akwasi Konadu during Constituency primaries. He polled 273 votes against 278
