Otumfuo to Mark Birthday with Church Service on May 6

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will mark his birthday on May 6 with a thanksgiving church service, Baffour Kantankrankyi, Otumfuo Kyeame, has announced.
The announcement was made at the Manhyia Palace during the Asanteman Council meeting on April 20, 2026, where he outlined key upcoming events on the Asantehene’s calendar.
The Service will take place at St Cyprians, however, details of the guest list are yet to be made public.
The Service is expected to draw chiefs, queen mothers, government officials, members of the clergy, and well-wishers to join His Majesty in thanking God for another year.
From Church, His Majesty will return home.
The church service continues Otumfuo’s tradition of dedicating his birthday to worship and reflection, consistent with his reign’s emphasis on faith, unity, and service to Asanteman.
