I Have Confidence in You – Otumfuo to UBA Ghana’s First Ghanaian Directors

The Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has expressed confidence in the ability of UBA Ghana’s first Ghanaian leadership to succeed and take the Bank to new heights.
Welcoming a delegation from the Bank to the Manhyia Palace, His Majesty recalled that since UBA Ghana commenced operations in the country over 20 years ago, the Bank had been led exclusively by Nigerian Managing Directors.
“Nigerians have been at the helm of affairs at UBA Ghana, and now we finally have a Ghanaian,” Otumfuo said. “I have full confidence in your ability to succeed,” His Majesty told the new directors.
Otumfuo, however, urged them to prioritise teamwork and staff welfare as they assume their new roles.
“Cultivate positive working relationships with all subordinates,” the Asantehene advised.
The delegation was at the Palace to formally introduce the new leadership and to seek His Majesty’s blessings and support for the Bank’s operations in the Ashanti Region and across the country.
Members of the delegation included Henry Nii Dottey, Head of Marketing for the West Africa Region; Rita Mills Robertson, Head of Corporate Banking; and Berlinda Tinkorang, Outstation Regional Head.
