NPP Outlines Plan For Sunyani East Parliamentary Primary

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced that nominations will open on Wednesday for the Sunyani East Constituency Parliamentary Primary.

After the primary was withheld, it can finally take place as the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong has laid out the road map for its conduct.

Nomination for interested aspirants will open on February 14 and close on February 17.

Nomination forms can be obtained at the party’s regional office for GHC3,000.00.

Additionally, there is a filing fee of GHC35,000.00 and a “party development fee” of GHC40,000.00, according to the party.

“All payments shall be made by banker’s draft in favour of the New Patriotic Party National Headquarters.”

The party further assured that no aspirant shall be denied access to purchase nomination forms.

“The Party has also approved detailed Rules and Regulations to govern the conduct of the parliamentary primary election which would be made available to stakeholders. However, Nomination Forms will be available at the Regional Party Office for purchase.”

The NPP elected a majority of their parliamentary candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections on January 27, 2024.

The election in Sunyani East was put on hold due to some internal issues.
