NPP National Chairman Takes a Break from “Thank You” Tour

The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ntim, has taken a break from the party’s “Thank You” tour.

A statement by the Communication Director of the party, Richard Ahiagbah, announced this.

This has raised concerns about the erosion of cohesion within the party; however, the statement said, the break was a short one for him to attend to pressing issues.

“The New Patriotic Party wishes to inform all members and the public that the National Chairman has taken a short break from the ongoing nationwide ‘Thank You’ tour to attend to some pressing matters.”

The statement highlighted that the National Chairman remains fully committed to the tour and will rejoin the team in due course.

“The Party appreciates all members’ continued support, enthusiasm, unwavering commitment, and cooperation,” it added.

It comes a day after a presidential hopeful in the party, Kennedy Agyapong, withdrew from the tour over claims of intolerance.

The tour has so far been marred by controversies, confrontations and violence which led to the stabbing of a KNUST student on Tuesday night.
