Ghanaians Lack Patriotism – Lord Kenya

Lord Kenya, a former Hiplife artiste in Ghana who has since become an Evangelist, has drawn attention to the absence of patriotism among Ghanaians. In an interview on Opemsuo Radio’s Nkwantannanso with Kofi Boakye on October 19, he indicated that some citizens lack a genuine commitment to the well-being of their country.

He cited the example of some Ghanaians who secretly hope for the Black Stars to lose in their football matches.

According to Lord Kenya, these individuals wish for defeat so that they can claim that success was achieved during their era.

He lamented how everything in Ghana has been politicized, leading people to hope that certain successes only happen during their term of office.

“Because, now someone is even praying for Ghana to lose the football match because if they win they will say it was achieved during this person’s era. Its high time, we let them know some things are for the country. After doing your politics, after 4 or 8 years you will leave, now we call President Kufuor, former.”

He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to understand that some achievements are for the nation as a whole.

Lord Kenya drew a comparison to former United States (US) President Donald Trump, noting that, regardless of Trump’s actions, he remains deeply patriotic to the US.
