Niger Suffers 11:0 Humiliation Against Ghana In Friendly

Ghana’s Black Princesses have thrashed the Menas of Niger by 11 goals to nil.

In a pre-tournament friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday the Menas were denied dominance.

At the end of the first half, Coach Yusif Basigi’s side had netted eight goals courtesy of Maafia Nyame, Faiza Seidu, Helen Alormenu and Stella Nyamekye.

Three more goals were used to seal the triumphant victory after the second half.

A hat-trick each from Faiza Seidu and Stella Nyamekye, a brace from Maafia Nyame and one goal each from Helene Alormenu 1, Tracy Twum, and Mary Amponsah resulted in Ghana’s victory.

The match was a part of Black Princesses’ preparation for the West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU-B) U-20 Girls tournament- a U-20 tournament for girls across the sub-region.

The tournament will spring from May 20- June 3, 2023, in Kumasi.

Ghana are in Group A with Benin and Ivory Coast while Niger are in Group B with Togo, Nigeria and Burkina Faso.

 

Ghana will play against Benin on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
