National Chief Imam Loses Wife
The wife of the National Chief Imam, Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu has passed away, the family has announced.
She died in the early hours of Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
A statement issued by the Chief Imam’s spokesperson, Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, said the Janazah prayer and burial will be conducted at 2 pm at the residence of the Chief Imam.
“Sympathizers are kindly requested to arrive at 1 pm to participate in the prayer and extend their support to the grieving family during this challenging time.”
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia in a tribute extended his sympathies to the bereaved family.
“I have learnt with sadness, the passing of our dear grandmother and beloved wife of the National Chief Imam, Hajia Rahmatu Tahwee Sheikh Sharubutu. Hajia Samira Bawumia and I extend our condolences to His Eminence, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and the entire family.”
“May the Almighty Allah welcome our dear grandmother and grant her Jannatul Firdaus,” he added.
