NADMO Receives Relief Items for Ghanaian Children Evacuated from South Africa

The National Disaster Management Organisation has received a consignment of relief items to support Ghanaian children being evacuated from South Africa.

The donation, jointly presented by the Global Association of Women in Leadership, Ghana, Thy Faithfulness Foundation, Australia, and Berks Concept, included clothing, stationery, and water bottles.

Presenting the items on behalf of the donor groups, Madam Benedicta Ohenewaa said the gesture formed part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to support vulnerable women and children.

“When we heard about the evacuation of our brothers and sisters from South Africa, we felt compelled to offer support in our own small way. We believe this donation will help make the children feel valued and cared for during this difficult period,” she said.

Receiving the items, Dr Lutfia Saeed Jamal, NADMO Deputy Director-General in charge of Finance and Administration, expressed appreciation for the donors’ thoughtfulness and commitment to helping those in need.

She assured them that the items would be delivered directly to the evacuated children and noted that the support would provide much-needed assistance during their resettlement.

Dr Jamal also expressed optimism that the partnership would strengthen relations between NADMO and the donor organisations, paving the way for future collaborations in humanitarian support and community development.
