Music is Hard in Ghana – Trig Triga

Trig Triga, a talented musician, boldly asserts that the music industry in Ghana is undeniably challenging. He candidly stated, “Music is hard in Ghana.”

According to him, the music industry can be an uphill battle, particularly for emerging artistes, as friends and individuals with industry experience are often reluctant to lend their support.

In an interview with Mr Black on Kumasefie on June 3, Trig Triga revealed that friends tend to withhold their full support until an artiste reaches a certain level of success in their career.

This lack of immediate support can make it exceedingly difficult for new artistes to establish themselves in the industry.

He shared, “Friends don’t fully support. They wait for you to reach a certain stage before they fully help.”

Despite his undeniable talent, Trig Triga finds himself without a dedicated management team or record label. While he has a team supporting him, operating as a solo artiste presents its own set of challenges.

He expressed his desire to collaborate with the right individuals, stating, “I do solo, though I have a team. As a solo artiste, it is difficult. I am pursuing a solo career because I haven’t met the right people.”

Trig Triga firmly believes that securing a record label would greatly benefit his music journey, allowing him to focus on creating exceptional music. He recognizes that having the support and infrastructure of a record label can contribute significantly to an artiste’s success and development.

“The right thing is to get a record label. It helps you concentrate on producing good music,” he affirmed.

Despite the obstacles and hardships encountered along the way, Trig Triga remains resilient and driven by his passion for music. His motivation stems from a lifelong love for music that has remained unwavering since his childhood.

For Trig Triga, music is not solely about fame or monetary gain but a deeply ingrained passion that fuels his artistic pursuits.
