English footballer Harry Maguire has been named Premier League Player of the month of November 2023.
The Manchester United centre-back played a critical role in all their three games in the month against Fulham, Luton and Everton.
In all three games, Maguire featured for a full 90 minutes during which the Reds conceded zero goals.
In a tweet, the 30-year-old credited his teammates and fans.
“Premier League Player of the Month. Couldn’t have done it without my teammates, the staff and you fans. Your love and support don’t go unnoticed, I appreciate it”
Maguire endured a torrid start this season, having been stripped of the captaincy band, getting benched, and being abused by fans for his fallen form.
His recent improvement in form fulfils his vow to work at taking back his rightful place in the first team.
Manager Erik ten Hag has recognized the player’s improvement.
“Stepping in passing vertical, defending also on the front foot, stepping in defending forward, very confident in the duels, he is dominating, dominating his opponents,” he said at a post match press conference.
