Mac Designated WhatsApp App Available

Meta has introduced a new WhatsApp application for Apple personal computers.

The Macintosh (Mac) WhatsApp was announced by the company on Tuesday.

It is currently available on whatsApp.com but will be handy on the Apple App Store later, the company says.

It comes after an improved version of the app was launched for Windows desktops earlier this year.

Meta says the app is redesigned to be familiar to Mac users, helping you get more done faster when using WhatsApp on a large screen.

Features
“With the new WhatsApp app for Mac, you can now make group calls from your Mac for the first time, connecting with up to 8 people on video calls and up to 32 people on audio calls.

“Now you can join a group call after it’s started, see your call history and choose to receive incoming call notifications even when the app is closed,” it said.

Messages are said to be end-to-end encryption keeping personal messages and calls private.

Meanwhile, users will be able to share files by easily dragging and dropping into a chat, additionally, they can view more of their chat history, it said.

The Mac is a family of personal computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc.

The product lineup includes the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro laptops, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Studio and Mac Pro desktops.
