Asanteman Mourn: Darko Farms Donates Poultry Products To Manhyia

Among the donations received by the Manhyia Palace in support of the upcoming burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa, on Friday were poultry products from Darko Farms.

The Managing Director of the Farms, Samuel Darko, announced a donation of 50 boxes of frozen chicken and cash on behalf of his father, Kwabena Darko, who is the Chairman of the business.

He informed the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, that his father had taken ill and could not go along, but had plans to join the burial rites.

The company also commiserated with the King on the passing of the Queen.

A multitude of sympathisers trooped to the Manhyia Palace on September 12, 2025, to show solidarity with the Asantehene, ahead of the burial rites of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.

The occasion was particularly used to donate and extend condolence messages.

Among them were Nananom, the Church of Pentecost, Accra Brewery PLC, Wesley College of Education, Anglican Diocese of Kumasi, Kasapreko Company Limited, BBC Industrial Company, Kumasi Mall, Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Poultry Farmers Association, Mfum Farms, Bank of Ghana and Prudential Bank.

The burial rites of Her Majesty will begin on September 15 and end on September 18.
