Kasapreko Doubles Salary Of Workers Citing Economic Challenges

Kasapreko Company Limited, manufacturer and producer of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in Ghana has announced double salaries for its workers.

The company cited the current economic challenges for the decision which was communicated in a memo dated November 1 and addressed to its staff, contractors and casual employees.

This comes amidst a rising inflation rate triggered by the cedi depreciation and the rising cost of fuel in the country.

Ghana’s inflation stands at 37.2% while the cedi which until recently stabilised against the dollar sells at GHc13.0149.

Kasapreko said management is “gravely” concerned for their employees in the face of the economic crisis.

“In addition to other measures taken to cushion the staff and their families in the face of these challenges, the management is announcing the payment of double salary to all permanent, contract and casual employees in November 2022.”

Hopefully, this will bring relief to the staff and their families, the Company said.
