I do not charge for collaborations – KiDi

Dennis Nana Dwamena popularly known as KiDi was born on 18 August 1993 in Accra.
KiDi joined the MTN Hitmaker competition in 2015 and won. He got signed to Lynx Entertainment and he is still working with them.
The Afrobeats/Afropop Artist recently picked eight nominations and pocketed half of them including the ‘Afrobeats/Afropop Artist of the Year’ in the just ended 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
“My name KiDi is derived from a drum in the Volta Region. Without this particular drum, all other drums can’t be played.

So since childhood I have seen myself as a special person, the reason why i came by the name KiDi”.
He said this in an interview on Opemsuo radio’s drive time show Oseikrom Kwanso” on Monday August 2nd 2021.
According to Him, his inspiration for music comes every minute in life for music is not necessarily about lyrics but vibes.
He emphasises that winning an award is never a feeling of arrival because with or without it he will continue with music.
Again, being in competition with someone should not breed enmity since collective efforts will take Ghana abroad.
