Ghana School Feeding Programme Dismisses Viral Food Quality Report from Buaduyili School

The National Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Hajia Fati Forgor, has concluded a fact-finding visit to Buaduyili School in the Nanumba North Municipality following a viral report alleging poor food quality served to beneficiary pupils.
During the visit on Monday, June 29, 2026, Hajia Forgor engaged key stakeholders including school authorities, the Municipal Chief Executive, municipal officials, and other relevant parties to establish the facts surrounding the incident.
According to the Programme, the findings indicated that the report carried by a section of the media did not accurately reflect the circumstances of the matter.
The National Coordinator said it became evident that the reporter failed to verify critical facts before publication, which resulted in a misrepresentation of events and created a misleading public impression.
She reiterated that the Ghana School Feeding Programme remains committed to transparency, fairness, and due diligence in addressing matters of public interest.
The Programme is therefore urging the public and the media to verify information through the appropriate channels before publication to ensure accurate reporting.
As part of the visit, Hajia Forgor also toured some beneficiary schools within the Municipality to monitor the progress of the Programme.
She was accompanied by the Programme’s Director of Public Relations and the Northern Regional Coordinator.
