I Won’t Forget the Arts Industry- John Dumelo

Actor cum Deputy Minister for Agriculture-designate, John Dumelo has promised his unflinching support for the Creative Art industry of the country despite earning an appointment far from it.

The lawmaker has assured that his assistance will always be at the disposal of his fellow creative arts players, supporting them through events and projects.

“The Arts economy must be supported. For me, I’m here and will try as much as possible if I’m not on the farm to come and support Arts programmes,” he said while speaking at the launch of the 11th Celestial Praiz concert on February 6, 2025.

Dumelo committed himself to forever identifying as a member of the creatives which is an irresistible part of life.

“I’m in the Agric industry, I still will not forget where I came from. I will always be an arts person, I will always be a creative person and if we don’t develop our own who will develop it for us? It’s very important.”

“Some people disregard the Arts but when we are all stressed, we listen to songs. When we are all stressed we watch movies. When we are all read or we go on TikTok and watch skits but it’s all part of life.”
