GCWL Grants Respite To Customers

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has instituted a month’s respite for its customers starting from August 1, 2022.

This is to enable customers with two or more months’ arrears to settle all outstanding bills before the end of August 2022, report illegal connection of water to their properties and settle all issues on their bills.

Citizens and customers are directed to report such cases to any regional or district office of the GWCL for their services to be regularised and rectified.

“All customers are encouraged to take advantage of this period to right the wrongs or will have to face the rigours of the law. All GWCL collection/pay points are open during normal working hours and customers can also pay their bills via mobile money channels with all the telecommunications networks.”

Persons who owe the company will have their names published in the national dailies after the amnesty ends, the GWCL said in a statement.

The amnesty will end on August 31, 2022.
