Ato Forson, Ablakwa, Others Cited For Parliamentary Absenteeism in Report
A parliamentary audit report has unveiled 28 Members of Parliament (MPs) who absented themselves from sittings without authorisation.
The report covers 43 sittings held between January and March 2025.
Leading the list is Joseph Frempong, the MP for Nkawkaw Constituency, who has absented himself from the house for 22 days.
He is followed by the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, who represents the people of Ajumako/Enyan/Essiam and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who represents the people of North Tongu.
It comes after Speaker Alban Bagbin expressed deep frustration with the low attendance.
