Full List of Reshuffled Ministers

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has for the first time in seven years caused a major shake-up to his Ministerial appointees.

After years of calls to undertake the exercise, he has reshuffled thirteen sector Ministers and thirteen Deputy Ministers.

The President in 2022 defended his ministers against calls for ministerial reshuffling arguing they had done outstandingly well in their line of duties.

“That is a matter that I will take in an appropriate way. Several of the people who are responsible for assisting me in steering the country out of the difficulties we inherited and the difficulties that have subsequently come are still in place. And many of them have done outstanding work. Their output has been considerable and that is what I look at,” he said during a radio interview.

The exercise saw three former deputy ministers being appointed sector ministers.

His reshuffle which was announced on February 14 affected Interior Minister Ambrose Dery, Information Minister Kwadwo Oppong Nkrumah, Works and Housing Minister Francis Asenso Boakye, Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Kwaku Afriyie and Gender, Children and Social Protection Lariba Abudu, MP.

Meanwhile, the Greater Accra Regional Minister Henry Quartey, Oti Regional Minister Joseph Makubu, Sanitation and Water Resources Minister Freda Prempeh and Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Ibrahim Mohammed Awal were also affected.

Whereas some of the Ministers have been reassigned to other Ministries and Ministers of State, others including Ken Ofori Atta, Kwasi Amoako Atta, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, Lariba Abudu, Dan Botwe and Freda Prempeh were not assigned to any position.
