FC Samartex Announce Amadu Nurudeen As Head Coach
Premier League side FC Samartex 1996 have announced Coach Amadu Nurudeen as the new head coach on a 2-year deal.
Announcing the former head coach of King Faisal as their new coach in an interview on Green Gold FM, the President of the Club, Richard Nsenkyire said Coach Nurudeem’s selection was done after an extensive search.
“The reason why it took long to announce the coach was because there was a search going on. I didn’t want the turnout with Coach Annor Walker to repeat itself- He left before even a year. I wanted someone who can stay for long and I wanted someone who had something I could relate to the project I want to achieve.”
He is confident the new coach has what it takes to give Samartex a “modern scientific identity” and “style”.
Coach Nurudeen replaces Coach 𝙳𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚎𝚕 𝙰𝚗𝚗𝚘𝚛 𝚆𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚎𝚛 who left the Club earlier this month.
He is a former player of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Upper West Heroes, and King Faisal Babies. He has also worked as an Assistant Head Coach of the National U-17 from 2014-2017 and an Assistant Coach of the National U-20 in 2018.
The seasoned coach obtained his CAF License B and A certificates in 2012 and 2013, respectively per records.
FC Samartex ended 10th on the 2023 Premier League table having won 12 of 34 games played. They had 12 draws and 10 losses.
