Ellembele MP, 4 Others Arrested For “Careless And Inconsiderate Driving”; Police Say

The police have reported the arrest of five drivers including the Member of Parliament for Ellembele, Emmanuel Kofi Buah for “careless and inconsiderate” driving last night.

The offence, per the police report, was driving in the middle of the road facing oncoming vehicles.

All the suspects except the MP who was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser with the registration number GR 1851-21, cooperated with the police and will be arraigned today in a court, the police said.

The MP, “after his driver’s license was taken and he was sent to the police station to be processed for court, failed to cooperate with the police and drove away leaving his license behind”, it is reported.

Emmanuel Buah is said to have reported to the police station this morning and have been duly processed for the court at an undisclosed date.

The arrest was effected by the Airport Divisional Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD).
