Education Minister Reaffirms Ghana’s Commitment to Tech-Driven Education

The Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to a contemporary, inclusive, and technology-driven education system as he inaugurated the 19th Edition of eLearning Africa in Accra.

Speaking under the theme ‘Africa’s Time, Africa’s Terms: Learning for Sovereignty, Strength, and Solidarity’, the Minister said Africans must take charge of the continent’s educational future through innovation, digital skills, and indigenous solutions.

Mr. Iddrisu outlined government investments in STEM education, artificial intelligence, teacher development, and equitable access to technology as the foundation for preparing every learner for the future of work.

“Africa’s future will be built by Africans through knowledge, innovation, and collaboration,” he told delegates, policymakers, educators, and tech experts at the forum.

The 19th eLearning Africa conference brings together stakeholders across the continent to explore how digital learning can strengthen sovereignty, build institutional strength, and promote solidarity in education.
