I Expect the National Cathedral Audit Report By May Ending- Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama is looking forward to receiving the report of Deloitte and Touche LLP on the audit of the construction of a national cathedral.

An amount of GH¢339 million is reported to have been pumped into the project started by the Akufo-Addo government.

This figure comprises GH¢225 million paid to the National Cathedral Secretariat and GH¢113 million paid directly to the project consultant.

Addressing the country on May 7, President Mahama said Deloitte and Touche LLP was conducting an independent audit of the National Cathedral Project.

“I expect their report by the end of this month.”

Other projects and operations of the former government under scrutiny include the COVID expenditure, the Sputnik V scandal, the collapse of indigenous banks and financial institutions, the PDS Scandal, and the 13th African Games expenditure
