The Ministry of Defence has inaugurated a committee to develop a policy document for the Ghana Armed Forces Home Ownership Scheme, fulfilling a commitment in the NDC manifesto.

The Deputy Defence Minister, Brogya Genfi, announced the inauguration in a Facebook post, stating that the committee’s mandate is to develop a practical, actionable framework for the scheme.

The committee is chaired by Brigadier General Ben Gah, Principal General Staff Officer at the Ministry of Defence.

Other members include representatives from the Office of the President, Ghana Home Ownership Fund, Ministry of Works and Housing, Ghana Armed Forces, State Housing Corporation, National Development Planning Commission, and Veterans Administration Ghana.

Genfi said the committee has been tasked to be “Practical, Consultative and work with a sense of Urgency” in delivering the policy document.
