CLOGSAG Embarks on Strike

The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has begun an industrial action today, April 21, 2022, over its member’s Conditions of Service.

In a statement, the association said its National Executive Council met on March 29 this year to discuss the status of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding which was reviewed with the government on January 21 this year.

“It was noted that payment of the Neutrality Allowance has not been effected as agreed in spite of official reminders and follow-ups to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning”, the statement said.

It will be recalled that CLOGSAG embarked on industrial action on Thursday, January 20, 2022, over their poor conditions of service but called the strike off a day later.

The call-off according to the association was because of the review of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government and the CLOGSAG at a meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2022.
