C/R: Deceased Woman’s Phone Leads Police to Her Alleged Killers

The Central North Regional Police Command has arrested two men believed to be responsible for the killing of 34-year-old Tahiru Zenabu, whose lifeless body was discovered last month at Kokoase, a suburb of Twifo Praso.

Zenabu was found dead in her room on April 3, 2025, with disturbing signs of violence, including a cloth tied tightly around her neck and blood on her hands, hinting at a violent struggle before her death.

The breakthrough in the investigation came on May 5, a full month after the murder, when one of the suspects made a critical error. Richard Armah, a local phone repairer and spinner based in Twifo Aboabo, used the victim’s mobile phone to contact one of her friends. The friend, immediately suspicious upon recognizing the number, alerted the police.

Authorities wasted no time. Armah was tracked down and arrested. During interrogation, he revealed the involvement of another man—Isaac Arhin. Police quickly followed up and apprehended Arhin as well.

Zenabu’s phone, now a central piece of evidence, has been recovered by the police. Both suspects appeared in court on May 7 and have been remanded in custody, with their next court appearance scheduled for May 21, 2025.

Investigators have praised the community’s support and highlighted the quick-thinking response of the victim’s friend, whose alert helped bring the suspects to justice.
