Broken HT Pole Cuts Power to Parts of Ashanti West as ECG Works to Restore Supply

Several communities in the Ashanti West Region are without power after a broken high-tension pole disrupted supply on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, the Electricity Company of Ghana has said.
ECG Ashanti West explained that the outage was caused by a damaged HT pole at Tabre, near Ridgevally Hybrid School close to the Abrafo Kokoben Junction.
The fault has affected Mankranso, Kunsu, Bonkwaso, Boatengkrom, Awrokrom and surrounding areas.
The Company said its engineers have been deployed to rectify the fault and restore electricity to the affected customers.
ECG apologised for the inconvenience caused and assured residents that work is underway to return power as quickly as possible.
