18 Senior GAF Officers Promoted

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General William Agyapong, has decorated 18 newly promoted Senior Officers with their new ranks.

This took place at a brief ceremony on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the General Headquarters.

The ceremony witnessed the piping of eighteen Senior Officers of the Ghana Armed Forces, comprising 6 Officers elevated to the rank of Major General and equivalent, and twelve Officers promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

The CDS, in his remarks, commended the Officers for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to duty and added that their promotion was a recognition of years of hard work and sacrifice.

He expressed confidence in their ability to continuously offer strong leadership and support to improve the Ghana Armed Forces in their new appointments, shape future generations of military leaders, and wished them success in their new ranks.
