Accra FM’s Bobie Ansah To Be Put Before Court
Kwabena Bobie Ansah, a broadcaster with Accra-based Accra FM, will be put before the Kaneshie District Court after he was arrested last night by the Accra Regional Police Command.
According to the police, the arrest of the host of the “Citizen Show” is in connection with some “false” utterances he made on his show a few days ago.
His arrest was effected by the police yesterday, February 10, 2022, after his show ended around 10 pm, reports say.
A statement from the police announcing the development said, “Mr. Kwabena Bobbie Ansah of Accra FM was arrested yesterday, February 10, 2022, by the Accra Regional Police Command in connection with an alleged case of publication of false news and offensive conduct”.
His arrest was necessitated after he turned down several invitations from the Police to him and others involved in the case to assist with the investigation, the statement added.
He is yet to be put before the Kaneshie District Court today.
