2 Arrested At Anyinam Over NDC Elections

Two persons have been arrested by the police over disturbances that ensued during the Anyinam constituency elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region.

The suspects are reported to have engaged in disturbances that damaged some properties of the party on Sunday, October 23.

The suspects have been identified as Patrick Anyimadu and Millicent Pennin.

“The suspects allegedly engaged some people to attack and destroy some properties and also disturb the peace of the area.

“Suspects Patrick Anyimadu and Millicent Pennin are currently in Police custody assisting in the investigation while efforts are underway to get the other accomplices arrested to face justice.”

This follows the arrest of four persons in the Ashanti region for their connection to the disturbances that ensued during the Fomena NDC constituency elections over the weekend.

“Police arrest four people at Fomena in the Ashanti Region for disturbances during the Adansi North NDC Constituency Election”, a brief statement from the Police on Sunday said.
