‘You Will Be Found’; Ursula Goes After Quick Loan Defaulters

The Minister for Communication and Digitalisation, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has issued a warning to persons seeking to discard their SIM cards to escape repayment of loans taken from their service providers.

Reports indicate that some people who owe service providers for “Qwikloan” service are not planning to register their SIM cards in the ongoing SIM registration exercise.

This will enable them to escape repayment.

Ursula in a Facebook post described the motive of such persons as “evil corruption” and promised to get at such persons.

“I have also been informed that some people who have obtained quick loans from their service providers have decided not to register those SIMs to avoid repaying the loans. That is evil corruption and you will be found out.”
